In 2016, the St. James Economic Development Authority (EDA) decided to offer incentives to encourage building in our residential development- Mayberry Hills 6th Addition. The incentives lowered the cost of the lots, in addition to a special financing package being developed with local banks. Those using incentives must substantially complete their single family home within 18 months of closing.
Since implementing the incentives in 2016, the EDA has closed on three lots in the development on Elton Avenue North. 11 lots remain on 9th Street N.
