Notice is hereby given to each person who owns, occupies, or controls land in the City of St. James to cut or spray all weeds and grass taller than 8 inches.

Noxious weeds and grass taller than 8 inches are considered a nuisance.

Any posted properties may be given a citation in the amount of $70.00 and if a city contractor mows the property, a fee of $50.00 plus tax will be charged. An administrative fee will be charged in addition to the mowing services.  Any unpaid invoices will be assessed to the Real Estate Taxes for the parcel affected.
