1. Does the City have a rebate program?

Yes, you can apply for a load management credit for both central air conditioning and for electric water meters. The refund is applied to your December billing. We also provide rebates for a number of energy savings appliances. Rebate applications are also available at city hall. For information or the online application visit Bright Energy Solutions

2. Who do I call if I am out of power (no electrical service)?

Call City Hall at (507) 375-3241 from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Monday through Thursday and 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Friday. After hours call (507) 375-3121 and an employee will be dispatched to your location.

3. What affects my electrical usage from month to month?

Hot or cold weather affect usage; the number of days from the previous reading to the present reading compared to the prior month, adding or eliminating appliances may affect usage. Appliances that are not working properly can also affect your electrical usage.
